Terms of Service
The terms you agree to when you use this website or hire Alright Dev.

Agreement
By using this website or engaging Alright Dev for work, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
What we do
Alright Dev provides software development, business systems, IT support and consultation. Nothing on this website is an offer or a fixed price. All work is quoted individually, and a project starts once we have both agreed the quote in writing.
Quotes and payment
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Invoices are due on the date shown on the invoice. Work may be paused on accounts that remain unpaid.
Payments made online are handled by PayPal under their own terms. Unless an invoice says otherwise, payments for work already delivered are not refundable.
Appointments
Consultations are booked as phone or video calls. Please give us notice if you need to cancel or move one, so the time can go to someone else.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for giving us accurate information and timely access to whatever a project needs, and for keeping your own account credentials private. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been used by someone else.
Ownership
Once a project is paid for in full, the custom work we built for you is yours to use. We keep ownership of our own tools, libraries and general techniques, including anything we reuse across clients. The content, name and logo on this website remain ours.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site to break the law, interfere with the service, attempt to gain access you have not been given, or send anyone else's data to us without their permission.
Our products
Lumen Optimizer, Rust Island and our other products are provided as they are. Tools that change Windows settings carry real risk: back up your system before using them. You are responsible for how you use them.
Warranty and liability
We will do our work with reasonable skill and care, and we will fix defects in work we delivered. Beyond that, the service is provided without warranties of any kind.
To the extent the law allows, Alright Dev is not liable for lost profits, lost data or any indirect loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the work the claim relates to.
Ending an engagement
Either of us may end an engagement in writing. You pay for the work completed up to that point, and we hand over what has been paid for.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States.
